Coyote Waits
Coyote Waits
The Story
Old Man tricked some ducks into dancing with him, when their eyes began to close he knocked them out with a stick, he built a fire and hung some of the ducks to roast. He swept some of the hot coals aside and buried some of the ducks to roast under the coals. He then sat and fell asleep. Coyote watched all of this. When Old Man was sound asleep he snuck in and ate all the ducks above ground first, then the ones under the hot coals, when they were gon he filled thier skins with sand and put them back in the ground, in this way he fooled Old Man into thinking the roast ducks were still under the ashes.
