The Sleeping Giant
The Sleeping Giant
The Story
Sea Lions were a great resource for the North Coastal Native Peoples. Their fur was used for clothes & blankets and the meat was part of their diet. The skins were sewn together & then inflated to make floats to assist them in bringing the Whales to shore after they had killed one by harpooning it. These beautiful animals are now protected by law, and can now rest in peace.
