Let The Celebration Begin
Let The Celebration Begin
The Story
The Northwest coastal tribes have renewed an old traditition- that of the Potlatch, in which they travel from reserve to reservation in their war canoes. Upon arriving, each member gives their name, their family names and who their ancestors were. After all canoes arrive, the celebration begins, including a salmon bake. The gentleman from the Kowichan Nation celebrates the arrival of the last canoe.
